According to reports from German outlet BILD, Newcastle United are now eyeing Darwin Nunez after missing out on Hugo Ekitike, who ended up choosing Liverpool. That move seems to have put the Reds in a strong position, especially since they’ve been long-time admirers of Anthony Gordon.
Nunez, despite flashes of brilliance, didn’t quite hit the heights expected of him last season. While Napoli were initially linked with a move, Newcastle could now be his next destination — and that opens the door for something interesting.
Gordon, formerly of Everton, has been on Liverpool’s radar for a while. He’s energetic, technically gifted, and fits the style Arne Slot is building. Newcastle have already brought in Elanga, adding even more competition on the wings — meaning Gordon may no longer be untouchable.
