Luis Diaz Breaks Silence on Future Amid Interest from Barcelona, Bayern & Saudi Clubs

Fresh off a stellar title-winning season with Liverpool, Luis Diaz has opened up about ongoing speculation surrounding his future — confirming talks are underway as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Saudi sides circle.

The 28-year-old winger was instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League triumph, contributing 13 goals and five assists, and remains a key figure in Arne Slot’s plans. However, with two years left on his current deal and interest intensifying, Diaz has now admitted that he’s weighing up his next move.

Diaz: “We’re Negotiating… We’ll See What Happens”

Speaking to Colombian influencer Mauricio Gomez, Diaz offered a transparent update:

“We’re there, negotiating. We’ll see what can be achieved — for us and for the club. We’ll try to do our best and make the best decision.”

When asked about a possible move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, he added:

“We’re in the process of negotiations, talking with the club, with Liverpool, with everyone who’s approaching us. But I’m very calm where I am, very happy. Just trying to make the best decision now.”

Liverpool Standing Firm Amid Pressure

Barcelona’s enquiry was swiftly rejected by Liverpool, and Bayern Munich have reportedly struggled to match Diaz’s personal terms. Sources close to the situation claim the Colombian has requested a financial guarantee from Barça, fearing the club’s La Liga registration issues could delay his inclusion if a deal was reached.

Despite the outside noise, Liverpool’s stance remains clear — the club has no current plans to sell. Diaz is still considered vital to Slot’s squad rebuild, particularly following Diogo Jota’s tragic passing.

What Happens Next?

Diaz, who has expressed a desire to play for Barcelona someday, remains under contract until 2027, and FSG are in no rush to cash in. However, if the right bid arrives and the player pushes for a move, the landscape could shift.

For now, the Colombian winger is set to rejoin Liverpool for pre-season training in the coming days, with Slot keen to build on last season’s success.
