Liverpool Want to Sign ‘World-Class’ £275,000-a-Week Winger

Liverpool are preparing to make a move for Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman after the season, according to CaughtOffside.

The Premier League champions are reportedly showing ‘the strongest interest’ in the France international at the moment, as he considers his future at Bayern amid a difficult season under Vincent Kompany.

Coman has made just 12 league starts since the Belgian took over last summer and is likely to be available for a fee in the region of €40m (£34m) once the market reopens.

Clubs in the Saudi Pro League, as well as Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, are also believed to be interested in the 28-year-old, who earns £275,000 per week in Germany.

The 28-year-old’s Bayern future is uncertain

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool appear the most likely of Coman’s suitors to firm up their interest with a concrete proposal.

The Reds are believed to have earmarked the ‘world-class’ 28-year-old as a potential attacking reinforcement and possible replacement for Diogo Jota, who has been linked with an Anfield exit.

Coman has two years left on his contract and was targeted by Saudi clubs last summer, while Arsenal have also been monitoring him as a winger option.

Liverpool are anticipating a busy summer transfer window following their Premier League title win, with several attacking signings expected.

While winger options are being considered, a striker could also arrive, with Darwin Nunez likely to make way for a new number nine at Anfield.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Uruguayan forward has no shortage of suitors in Saudi Arabia and could leave after being targeted during the January window.
