Alexis Mac Allister responds to Real Madrid transfer rumors with clear Liverpool message

Alexis Mac Allister has responded to transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Liverpool to join the Spanish giant Real Madrid at some point in the future

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has reacted to rumors linking him with a transfer move to Real Madrid after another impressive season for the Reds.

The 26-year-old Argentine, who was signed for $47 million from Brighton in 2023, is happy at Anfield. His father spoke a few weeks ago and poured cold water on reports that his son could be on the move and now Mac Allister has outlined his feelings for himself

“I read the rumors and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present,” he was quoted as telling TyC Sports. “No matter how much the club loves me, if I play poorly this weekend, they’ll lose interest

“I’m fine at Liverpool and I don’t have any need,” Mac Allister continued. “I have a lot of respect for the club, and I don’t think it’s necessary to talk about other clubs

He also spoke about what life is like for him as a Liverpool player. “I’m a little far away, so some fans greet you with respect, but in the city, they are more passionate,” Mac Allister said.

“The club is like a family. One phrase sums it all up: You’ll never walk alone. The moment the anthem is playing is incredibly powerful. One of the most beautiful. The game doesn’t start until it finishes playing

Mac Allister and the rest of his Liverpool teammates will be watching later today as Arsenal takes on Crystal Palace. A victory for Oliver Glasner’s men at the Emirates Stadium will confirm the Reds as league champions. Any other result will mean that it could instead happen at Anfield on Sunday when Liverpool hosts Spurs in the Premier League
